The Food
Chipotle offers burritos, tacos and burrito salad bowls, all made to order and prepared right in front of you while you wait. There are four different meats: steak, chicken, carnitas (sweet pork) and barbacoa (spicy beef). You can add an assortment of vegetables, rice, beans and salsas to the meat of your choice.
The quality of a Chipotle burrito often makes me wonder why I would even bother to eat anywhere else. It’s almost as if a burrito god handcrafts you the perfect burrito knowing exactly what your taste buds enjoy. Not only is the food great because you pick everything you want ingredient by ingredient, but also because the meats are all grilled fresh every few minutes. They have four different salsas depending on your preference of spiciness, and their guacamole is out of this world (although you have to pay $1.50 extra for it).
The Track Record
Chipotle wins the gold medal. Every single time I have been to Chipotle (more than any other restaurant), the food has been equally awesome. I’ve never had a bad burrito, a salty guacamole or a flat soda. Chipotle has, by far, the most consistently delicious food anywhere.
The Service
Prompt. You will have your food in under a minute of walking inside. The staff is very polite and more than willing to customize your food to your liking.
The Price
A standard meal at Chipotle is right around $6, but can vary based on whether or not you chips and a drink, etc. But essentially, for $6-10 you walk out feeling full enough to skip you next two meals.
Overall Assessment
Whether you are on a tight budget or not, or whether you are just a little hungry or starving, Chipotle wins hands down in the food competition. It works perfectly for any lunch or dinner and is perfect if you are in a hurry because everything is made while you wait.
