University Commons to Open Fall '08

Shop, Eat & Enjoy!
Local area residents will soon have a new shopping plaza to enjoy near the University of Central Florida. The Southern Management and Development firm has been developing the University Commons model for some time now and has managed to bring in a wide assortment of retailers to populate their 73,000 square foot mall once open in the fall. Although they have some excellent tenants already, they still have several vacant spaces to fill by opening day.
Too Much To Choose From
With over forty spaces, you know there is going to be a lot to do once this place is up and running. Not only will they have some great dining options, but they have a pretty extensive list of other retailers as well. I anticipate this being essentially a smaller version of Waterford Lakes Town Center, however, we'll see what they prove to be once they're open to the public.
Who's Setting Up Shop
Although nothing is official until their doors are open, we have a pretty concrete list of tenants who plan on setting up shop in the new University Commons this fall. And, because, we love our HungryKnights.com users so much we have decided to share the list with you (starting with the restaurants first, of course). The new shopping center will boast a new American Pie Pizza, a Power Smoothie Cafe, Quiznos, Bagel Bagel Cafe, Five Guys Burgers & Fries, Cuppy's Coffee, Shane's Rib Shack, WOW Cafe & Wingery, and a Teriyaki Experience! Phew...those are a lot of options! You'll notice that many of them are new to the area as well, so that means more options for breakfast, lunch and dinner -- and you know how much we love that! In addition to these fine eating establishments, the center will also be home to a Nebraska Book Company bookstore, a free-standing Fifth-Third Bank, another South Beach Tanning, and nail salon, of course. Although this may seem like a lot, there are actually several more spaces that have not been filled yet so keep your eyes open for the list to grow.
Opening Day...
We're not sure when University Commons will open it's doors to the general public, however, you better believe we'll let you know as soon as we hear word of an more exact opening date because we know how much our users love to eat! Be sure to check back frequently to learn about any new additions to the project.
